Through the National Association of Japan-America Societies (NAJAS) and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation’s Japan Update Series, The Japan-America Society of Georgia presents U.S.-Japan Now: Womenomics Symposium. The JASG welcomes 2 esteemed guests as keynote speakers for the program, Dr. Mieko Nakabayashi, Associate Professor at Waseda University and former Member of Japan’s House of Representatives, and Ms. Audrey Boone Tillman, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Aflac, Inc. The speakers will highlight the progress of Womenomics in Japan and what initiatives are being put in place to promote gender equality in the workplace not only in Japan but also in the U.S. This program will allow participants to learn more about the history, current trends, and future outlook of Japan’s endorsement of diversity in society and what still needs to be done in both Japan and the U.S. to maintain each country’s position as world leaders in the global economy.
